Description
Large, moderately evolute, whorls rounded to slightly compressed, ribs biplicate, gradually becoming triplicate, virgatotome, then fasciculate, and gradually enlarging and becoming more distant, at all stages ribbing is smoother than in Pseudovirgatites or Subplanites, more like that of Wheatleyites, aperture sinuous, simple.
