Description
Conch thinly lenticular, narrow furrowed venter bounded by pair of sharp ventrolateral keels (generally without nodes). Ventrolateral saddle has 8 to 12 subdivisions, remaining saddles rounded or slightly indented near midheight. External lateral lobe and adjacent umbilical lobes in arched alignment, subequal but decreasing in size to umbilicus. Sutural formula: (V2 V1 V2 )v1 v2 v3-6 s1 s1 l7- 5 l4 l3 l2 l1 L1(d) )UU1 U2 ..... [Russian]. Twenty-two named species (most are geographic designations that are too obscurely deļ¬ned for recognition).
