Description
Like Bactrites. Sutures dorsally inclined and camerae relatively low (27). Generic independence doubtful because of highly variable orientation of sutures within single individuals of certain representatives of Bactrites. Lowness of camerae in this case appears not to be a diagnostic criterion, being caused here by normal crowding of sutures in late ontogenetic stages, which occurs in all ectocochleate cephalopods.
